Job summary

Morristown Post Acute in Morristown, NJ is seeking a compassionate Recreation / Activities Aide to enhance residents' quality of life within our warm, community-driven facility. You will lead one-to-one activities, assist with events, crafts, decorating, and daily tasks, while projecting a positive image of the organization to residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Enhance residents' quality of life per established policies, procedures and objectives of the organization.
• One-to-one activities utilizing interpersonal needs to meet resident/client needs.
• Projects a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, co-workers, public.
• Errands, handling resident mail, flower arranging, seasonal decorating, cleaning activity areas/storage space, photographing of residents, serving of special meals, baking, gardening, creating craft projects.
• Supervising responsibilities, including not limited to smoking breaks for residents.
