Job description

Job Title: Recreation Aide
Facility: Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center
Location: Hazlet, New Jersey
Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Every Other Weekend & Some Evening Availability)
Salary: $15.50 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead small and large resident recreation group activities, including cognitive enrichment activities, physical fitness activities, and classes.
  • Assist in organizing and running monthly festivities and parties at the facility.
  • Plan and coordinate activities of special interest to residents.
  • Ensure resident safety while maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity to the needs of older adults.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Energetic, enthusiastic, creative, and self-motivated with a passion for working with the elderly.
  • Previous experience working with a geriatric/adult population is preferred.
  • Must be a team player with a compassionate, outgoing, and pleasant personality.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
