Job summary

Air Force Materiel Command at Robins AFB, GA seeks a Non-appropriated Fund recreation assistant to support indoor and outdoor facilities. Flexible employees may work up to 40 hours per week with no benefits.

You will set up recreation areas, take reservations and payments, manage equipment, post schedules, answer questions, assist with events, and help with inventory and safety checks.

Responsibilities

• Sets up recreation areas for scheduled activities, records attendance, takes reservations and payments for trips and tours, notifies participants of schedule changes, and arranges equipment for participants.
• Cleans rental equipment, decorates centers for events, strings nets, sets up batting cages, inspects safety systems, posts announcements, and answers inquiries.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment and assists with group activities requiring more staff.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation on Robins AFB, GA. Flexible employees have no guaranteed hours but may work up to 40 hours per week. This position does not offer benefits.

Key Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this position is to perform and/or assists other recreation assistants or specialist in the operation and maintenance of indoor and/or outdoor recreational facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities: Sets up recreation areas for scheduled activities; records attendance; takes reservations and payment for trips and tours; notifies participants of schedule changes; arranges for equipment or tools, charging them out to participants, and checking them for condition on their return; cleans rental equipment; decorates community or neighborhood centers or recreation centers for special events, activities, or parties; strings tennis or volleyball nets; lines base lines and base paths; sets up batting cages; checks the established safety system of indoor and outdoor recreation facilities and areas, tools, and equipment; posts announcements of scheduled activities and answers inquiries about item, place, transportation, or other matters related to activities scheduled; takes inventory of authorized recreation supplies and equipment; and helps with group activities which require more than one staff monitor, performing specifically assigned tasks.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
