Cedar Creek Hospital in Michigan is a beautiful 81-bed facility delivering evidence-based treatment for adolescents and adults with mental health issues, using integrated therapies including yoga, mindfulness, aromatherapy, music and nutrition. We are seeking a Contract Activity Therapist to assess and develop recreational skills as part of a clinical team.

The Activity/Recreation Therapist will plan and implement unit activities, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and help patients

Qualificações

• CTRS certification by NCTRC or other Master's Level Creative Arts Therapist with board certification.
• Experience in a behavioral health hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to educate and develop recreational, social, leisure and daily living skills.

Position Description

The Activity/Recreation Therapist is responsible to assess, educate and develop recreational, social, leisure and daily living skills. The Recreation Therapist is responsible for planning and implementing unit activity services for assigned program, which involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients.

Job Requirements

• CTRS Certification by National Certification Board (NCTRC) required or other Master's Level Creative Arts Therapist (Pet, Yoga, Dance and Movement, Art, Music, Drama, etc) with appropriate board certification


• Experience in a behavioral health hospital setting preferred
