Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a part-time Yoga Instructor to support clients in their recovery journey. You will lead group yoga sessions, model postures and mindfulness, and create a therapeutic atmosphere that fosters resilience and self-awareness.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, at least one year in the treatment field, and a valid yoga instruction certification. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, plus flexibility and collaboration, are important for this

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year experience in the treatment industry preferred.
• Valid yoga instruction certification.
• Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills.
• Strong flexibility, collaboration, and motivational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct group yoga sessions and model poses, breathing, stretches, and mindfulness techniques
• Create an engaging, therapeutic atmosphere conducive to the development of recovery skills
• Encourage clients to engage, cultivating mindfulness and self-love, awareness, and control
• Collaborate with extended clinical team to track client progress and coordinate care
• Maintain complete documentation of all sessions conducted, and client challenges and progress
• Model all recovery principles such as honesty, integrity and compassion in all client interactions
