Job summary

The Farley Center in Williamsburg, VA is hiring a Driver - Recovery to transport clients safely to and from programming, appointments, and events. The role requires a valid driver’s license and climbing into the vehicle with clients, ensuring seat belts are fastened, and documenting transport details.

CPR and de-escalation certification may be required, and prior experience in a behavioral facility is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, or equivalent.
• One or more years’ relevant work experience in behavioral facility preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Drives company vehicles to transport clients for admissions, appointments, activity trips, discharges, and other events in a punctual manner.
• Picks up or transports visitors or staff as needed.
• Ensures passengers wear seatbelts before starting the vehicle and maintains supervision during transport.
• Charts in client records and provides a verbal report to the oncoming shift.
• Maintains vehicle logs and reports maintenance issues to staff.
