Job summary

Northpoint Recovery Holdings, LLC is seeking a Recovery Technician to support the safety and wellbeing of patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team. The role provides direct and indirect patient care in line with Northpoint policies for unlicensed staff, contributing to a structured milieu and patient supervision across settings throughout the week.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• One year or more of relevant work experience.
• Strong English usage, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, and policies of the department.
• Ability to maintain personal boundaries and build rapport with patients.
• Knowledge of surrounding geographic area for efficient routing.
• Organizational and prioritization skills to balance competing demands.
• Proficiency in patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
• Excellent organizational abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Interact routinely with patients, observe behaviors and communicate significant observations to clinical staff.
• Follow reporting and communication guidelines when interacting with staff and patients.
• Timely completion of paperwork, including daily logs and forms.
• Maintain daily schedules and structure, specifically around transport times, meal times, and transition times.
• Provide patient observation rounds and consistent monitoring of patient activities and behaviors during scheduled shift.
• Attend and promote recreational outings and activities with patients; encourage pro‑social and coping skills.
• Ensure the wellbeing of patients and provide a positive, supportive, and structured environment.
• Assist patients with needs and collaborate with onsite clinical and medical staff as necessary.
• Oversee and manage the safe and efficient transport of patients to and from facilities.
• Assist in orientation of new admissions
• Utilize therapeutic communication skills and maintain professional boundaries with patients and families
• Act as a role model for patients and create a positive culture with staff
• Assist with treatment planning and discharge planning
• Document client care and behavior as required in established policies and procedures
• Utilize de‑escalation skills when exposed to volatile clients to maintain personal safety and safety for others
• Assist counseling and administrative staff in responding to emergency situations
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned
