Job summary

Amatus Health is seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist to serve as a liaison between clients and clinical staff. You will assist in the intake process, support transportation needs, answer questions, and help clients adjust to the program routine while prioritizing safety.

You will observe changes in condition, report to medical staff, maintain clear communication, support group orientations, and help ensure privacy and respectful treatment in accordance with policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in the mental health field or related coursework preferred.
• Ability to keep patients safe at all times and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Valid driver's license and Peer Recovery Certification required.
• Demonstrates empathy, strong communication and teamwork.
• Commitment to privacy and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain healthy relationships with patients.
• Assist with intake and orientation procedures for new admissions.
• Maintain clear communication during client admissions.
• Complete timely shift reports and checklists at shift end.
• Facilitate orientation groups or meetings with patients.
• De-escalate situations and assist with AMA/ACA patient transitions.
• Monitor patient locations and ensure safety during visits and activities.
• Support transportation needs and coordinate with medical staff as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings and adhere to privacy policies.
