DCCCA Day Reporting Center in Lawrence, KS is seeking a part-time Recovery Support Specialist to help support clients through treatment services. The role involves engaging clients, enforcing program rules, handling incidents, and coordinating with the treatment team.

This position requires a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with shifts Wed–Sat 2pm–10pm. The work contributes to a safe, structured environment and quality client care at multiple locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Driver's License and maintain automobile liability insurance with a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organization’s insurability standard.
• Availability of reliable transportation is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Creates a safe client environment by performing required security and safety procedures.
• Assists in orientation of treatment goals, program rules and structure.
• Submits written incident reports for unusual client behavior or activity.
• Assesses and resolves minor incidents during weekend/evening hours when day staff aren’t available.
• Documents program and client information in a timely manner.
• Monitors weekly schedules and adherence to policies related to facility/equipment usage.
• Supports counselors and treatment providers through client services from admission to discharge.
• Supervises client performance and enforces program rules and consequences for misbehavior.
• Conducts and/or participates in client room searches as needed.
• Follows crisis protocol and notifies on-call staff immediately.
• Follows program schedule and completes tasks timely and completely.
• Contributes to building security through routine monitoring.
• Assists with client groups and activities; may include occasional transport.
• Consults with treatment team and implements recommendations for quality care.
• Develops and maintains professional relationships with clients at all times.
• Enters data and assists with client billing process.
• Monitors and documents clients' self-administration of medications per policy.

Part-Time: Wed-Sat, 2pm-10pm

Essential Functions

• Createsa safe client environment by performing all required security and safetyprocedures

• SupportsCounselors and other treatment providers with the coordination andimplementation of client services from admission through discharge

• Conductsand/or participates in client room searches as necessary
• Adheresto established protocol in crisis situations and notifies appropriate on-callstaff members immediately
• Followsthe program schedule and completes assigned tasks in a timely and completemanner
• Contributesto overall building security through routine monitoring
• Helpswith client groups and facilitates client activities as requested which mayinclude occasional transport
• Consultswith members of the treatment team and other professionals as necessary andimplements recommendations received to ensure quality client care
• Developsand maintains professional relationships with all clients at all times
• Entersdata and assists with client billing process
• Monitorsand documents clients' self-administration of clients' medication according toprogram policy and prescribed medical policy/procedure, conduct and documentthorough and accurate medication count during each shift
• Job mayrequire the employee to be able to regularly drive to various DCCCA locationsand other business locations throughout the day including early morning orevening hours

Education, Experience,and Licensure

• Must possess a valid Driver's License, have inforce automobile liability insurance coverage, and maintain a Motor VehicleRecord (MVR) that meets organization's insurability standard as defined byDCCCA policy. Availability of reliable transportation is required for thisposition.
