Abria Detox is a private facility offering 24/7 detoxification and withdrawal management services in a supportive setting for adults 18+. We are seeking a compassionate Recovery Support & Activities Specialist to create a welcoming environment and engage clients through recreational and recovery-focused activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, healthcare, human services, or similar setting preferred.
• Ability to plan and facilitate engaging recreational and social activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds at different stages of recovery.
• Maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality.
• Dependable, patient, energetic, and team-oriented.
• Must be free of chemical use problems for at least two years prior to hiring.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate recreational activities, games, crafts, and other structured activities.
• Encourage clients to participate and stay engaged during their stay.
• Organize activities suitable for clients with withdrawal and varying abilities.
• Interact with clients to promote positive social engagement.
• Maintain activity supplies, games, and recreational materials.
• Assist in creating a structured and supportive daily environment.
• Observe client behavior and communicate concerns to nurses or clinicians.
• Maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality.
• Assist behavioral health staff with general client support as needed.

Abria Detox is a private facility offering 24/7 detoxification and withdrawal management services. We specialize in treating individuals who have substance use as well as co-occurring mental health disorders. Our facility has 20 beds and serves both male and female patients aged 18 and older.

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Recovery Support & Activities Specialist to join our team. This position helps create a welcoming, supportive, and structured environment while keeping clients engaged through recreational, social, and recovery-focused activities.

• Experience working in behavioral health, substance use treatment, healthcare, human services, or a similar setting preferred.
• Ability to plan and facilitate engaging recreational and social activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds and at different stages of recovery.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality.
