Job Description: The Recovery Specialists will help consumers reach maximum self-sufficiency through individualized interventions and support within a therapeutic milieu. Interventions are based on service plans developed collaboratively with consumers.

Schedule: Full Time - Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Location: Drexel Hill, PA

Program: Burmont House - Residential Recovery Program

Pay Rate: $18/hour

Job Functions:

  • Provide services aligned with program standards, best practices, licensure, and recovery principles
  • Assist the program coordinator and educate residents on medications, budgeting, self-care, and supportive counseling
  • Deliver services based on client and program needs
  • Maintain strong communication skills
  • Manage a caseload of 4-5 clients
  • Perform direct care tasks including light housekeeping and cooking as needed
  • Advocate for residents at all times
  • Maintain documentation to comply with regulations
  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Conduct van runs and accompany residents to medical appointments
  • Administer medication following DPW standards
  • Be flexible with schedule changes
  • Intervene appropriately in crises and support residents in relationships and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrate compassion, flexibility, and supportive counseling skills
  • Assist with skill-building and hands-on support as needed
  • Record and submit billable services promptly
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education/Experience: Associate's Degree with 1 year in a human service-related field or equivalent training/experience

Clearances: PA Child Abuse Clearance (if applicable), criminal clearance, federal fingerprint check, valid driver’s license, and verification of not being on Medicaid/Medicare exclusion list

Note: Additional experience or education may be substituted at the discretion of the Personnel Officer
