Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three or more years in behavioral health required.
• Two or more years in acute inpatient behavioral health preferred.
• Certification as a Peer Specialist preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Provide group and individual counseling to adults in recovery.
• Offer peer mentoring and goal-setting support for recovery planning.
• Provide recovery resources and information to patients.
• Facilitate and lead recovery, educational and support groups.
• Advocate with and for patients and families.
• Document interventions within 24 hours of service.
• Participate in weekly meetings and supervision.
