Qualifications

• Certified Peer Support certificate required by state.
• One year of direct experience in mental health recovery.
• Completion of required state certification within six months if applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Two years of responsible employment history.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships and provide peer support throughout recovery.
• Assist clients in identifying strengths and creating recovery goals.
• Connect clients with community resources and supports.
• Advocate for individuals and support informed treatment decisions.
• Facilitate group education and promote healthy lifestyles.
• Transport clients to appointments and coordinate services as needed.
• Collaborate with treatment teams and community partners to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in treatment planning meetings and referrals coordination.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed and document services per regulations.
• Complete required professional development and maintain confidentiality.
