Job summary

Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa invites applications for a Certified Peer Specialist at the Mishomis Wellness Recovery Center. This full-time, non-exempt role provides peer mentoring to individuals in recovery, using lived experience to promote wellness and goal achievement.

The CPS works with medical staff to develop and monitor rehabilitation plans and maintain comprehensive case records. Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, Wisconsin Peer Specialist certification

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Wisconsin Peer Specialist certification preferred or must be completed within 3 months of employment.
• Abstinence from alcohol/drug use is required upon employment and while employed.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, vehicle and maintain driver’s eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer mentoring and support to others with mental illness and/or substance abuse.
• Monitor clients' progress and maintain case records and documentation.
• Confer with clients and professionals to develop rehabilitation plans.
• Coordinate evaluations and services with community providers and agencies.

Education

High School Diploma GED or HSED

Wisconsin Peer Specialist certification preferred or must complete within 3 months
