Job summary

Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network seeks a Part-time Peer Support Specialist to provide recovery-oriented peer services to adults in the Infinity Program. The role leverages lived recovery experience to engage and inspire hope in consumers.

You will work in HOTRMHMR offices and community settings, coordinating transportation and maintaining timely documentation. Must have a high school diploma or GED with personal recovery experience; willingness to share stories is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must have personally received treatment in behavioral health; willing to share recovery story.
• Peer Provider Certification preferred and required after employment start.
• Ability to demonstrate current self-directed recovery and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide recovery-oriented peer support to adults in the Infinity Program.
• Engage consumers in community and office settings to inspire hope.
• Coordinate transportation and support for appointments.
• Maintain timely documentation of activities and cases.
