I Am Boundless in Ohio is seeking a Peer Mental Health Support Specialist (PMHSS) to provide recovery-oriented, non-clinical support to youth and families within OhioRISE Care Coordination. You will use your lived experience with mental health challenges to help clients navigate services, build coping skills, and achieve individual goals.

This role emphasizes collaboration with the Care Coordinator and the Child and Family Team, adherence to ICP goals, and a compassionate, strengths-based

Qualifications

• Certified Peer Supporter through the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, or ability to obtain certification within required timeframe.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated lived experience with mental health challenges.
• Ability to appropriately and professionally utilize lived experience to support others.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with youth and families with behavioral health needs (preferred).
• Knowledge of OhioRISE and high-fidelity wraparound principles (preferred).
• Experience supporting individuals with emotional regulation and coping strategies (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide structured, recovery-oriented support to youth and families.
• Support emotional regulation, coping skills, and navigation of behavioral health services.
• Collaborate with Care Coordinators and other providers within the Child and Family Team.
