Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to deliver recovery-oriented, non-clinical peer support in the EmPATH/Crisis Stabilization Unit. You will assist individuals in acute behavioral health crises, promoting engagement, stabilization, and connection to next levels of care.

Role requires California Certified Peer Support Specialist certification and a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred hospital experience.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Preferred hospital setting experience is advantageous.
• California Certified Peer Support Specialist certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide recovery-oriented, non-clinical peer support in the EmPATH/CSU.
• Promote engagement, stabilization, self-advocacy, and care transitions.
• Collaborate with CSU multidisciplinary team and maintain boundaries.
• Document activities accurately and timely in electronic systems.
