Morrison Child and Family Services in Oregon seeks a Full-Time Parent Mentor - Mother in the Self Sufficiency Program. The role requires lived recovery experience and supports parents navigating the ODHS system to reunify with children.

Responsibilities include coaching families, attending court, coordinating with ODHS, driving to appointments, and connecting families with community resources. A non-exempt hourly position offers a collaborative, trauma-informed workplace.

Qualifications

• Personal experience with addiction and recovery is required.
• Minimum 2 years in active recovery from alcohol and other drugs.
• Personal ODHS Child Welfare case experience, closed for at least 1 year.
• High School Diploma or GED with basic writing/reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Empower and coach parents through their ODHS case, attend meetings and court hearings.
• Drive parents to appointments across counties and connect them to culturally specific resources.
• Build trust with ODHS staff and collaborate with caseworkers to support parents' goals.
• Communicate positively with ODHS staff and participate in program activities.
• Facilitate OSLC‑KEEP sessions after required training and certifications.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Sanctuary model and organizational policies.
