Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) in Brockton is seeking a Recovery LPN to work in the CSS unit under supervision. You will facilitate access to recovery-focused SUD treatment, administer medications, monitor vitals, and document in the EMR.

Per diem schedule offers flexibility while supporting a fast-paced team. LPN licensure in Massachusetts and CPR/BLS are required; prior experience with substance use populations and Epic EMR is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• LPN diploma from an accredited institution.
• Current license in Massachusetts to practice as an LPN.
• CPR & BLS/First Aid certified upon hire.
• Preferred proficiency in Epic EMR.

Responsibilities

• Engage patients in a residential treatment setting.
• Record vital signs; discuss and document health concerns.
• Perform and record testing (EKG, HCG, urine drug screening).
• Prepare and safely administer medications (immunizations, flu shots).
• Record administration of medications and manage controlled substances counts.
• Triage sick complaints and perform initial evaluation.
• Assist in recovery planning with the behavioral health team.
• Document patient encounters in the electronic medical record.
