Job summary

Boca Recovery Center in Springfield, MA is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care throughout the recovery journey. The LPN will monitor health concerns, document medical information, and support health-related programming within a structured treatment setting.

Join a dedicated team focused on trauma-informed, client-centered care. Massachusetts LPN licensure and CPR certification are required; weekend availability and 12-hour shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts LPN license required.
• CPR certification required and maintained.
• Experience in substance abuse, psychiatric, or related healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work 12-hour shifts; weekends and schedule flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor infection control practices and follow reporting procedures.
• Conduct urinalysis toxicology screenings and document results.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by providers.
• Triage medical issues and perform focused patient assessments within scope of practice.
• Document client symptoms, treatments, and health-related concerns in the EMR.
• Maintain communication with scheduling coordinators and medical providers.
• Support health education groups and complete related documentation.
• Attend scheduled staff meetings and trainings.
• Maintain accurate logs, shift reports, and other medical records.
• Report significant questions, concerns, and complaints to supervising staff.
• Assist in training Behavioral Health Technicians on medical protocols.
• Maintain regular attendance and be available for overtime if required.
