Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a Job Developer to build and sustain employer partnerships, facilitate placements, and provide post-placement support for individuals in SUD recovery. The role collaborates with vocational counselors and community partners to connect Bronx residents in recovery with meaningful, sustainable employment.

Responsibilities include educating employers on fair chance hiring, tracking outcomes, and maintaining relationships for at least 90 days post-placement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related human services field required.
• Master's degree in related human services field preferred.
• CRC credential with master's in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling preferred.
• CASAC; LMSW; LMHC; LCSW preferred.
• Two years experience in vocational or substance use program with patients who have SUDs.
• Knowledge of workforce incentives (WOTC) and fair chance hiring.
• Strong organizational, time management, and case coordination skills.
• Employer engagement and relationship management.
• Data tracking, documentation, and outcomes reporting.
• Cultural humility and recovery-informed practice.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, and maintain employer relationships, esp. healthcare, hospitality, construction, green jobs, and logistics in Bronx zones.
• Educate employers on fair chance hiring and WOTC incentives.
• Represent Montefiore at community/workforce meetings to expand the employer network.
• Collaborate with counselors to match job-ready participants with opportunities and coordinate referrals.
• Track placement activities and outcomes in the data system.
• Maintain contact with placed participants for 90 days post-employment with regular check-ins.
• Address workplace challenges and schedule adjustments to support treatment participation.
• Provide early intervention for at-risk job retention with counselors/supervisors.
