Job summary

Freeman Recovery Center in Dickson, TN seeks a Recovery Housing Technician to oversee recovery houses and ensure residents have the support needed to achieve long‑term sobriety. You will manage housing operations, conduct curfew checks, and report daily events and guest wellbeing.

The role requires knowledge in mental health/substance abuse, strong listening and communication skills, and the ability to maintain HIPAA compliance while coordinating with the manager and care team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee recovery houses and ensure residents have support to achieve long-term sobriety.
• Conduct curfew checks.
• Send daily reports to manager on events, incidents, and guest wellbeing.
• Stock PHP homes with supplies.
• Lead house meetings and 12-step groups within recovery houses.
• Enforce Freeman Recovery Center policies and procedures and report issues to the manager.
• Monitor guest behavior and approve privileges such as day passes and visitors.
• Drug screenings of recovery housing patients as needed for drug/alcohol use.
• Provide transportation to and from approved sites (PHP/IOP, AA/NA meetings, grocery).
• Safety checks on vehicle(s) as needed.
• Always operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner.
• Never operate a motor vehicle while operating any cellular device.
• Assist with rent collection for recovery housing guests, as needed.
• Uphold HIPAA, 42CFR Part 2 in regard to patient/guest confidentiality at all times

Freeman Recovery Center is here for those struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. We now have 40+ properties where we can help up to 250 clients at one time.

Recovery Housing Technician

Job Purpose: Oversee recovery houses, ensuring guests have the support and resources necessary to succeed in attaining long-term sobriety. Manage each recovery house to ensure it is well maintained and adheres to all compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:

Assist new guests in acclimating torecovery housing

Conduct curfew checks

Send daily reports to manager on events, incident reports, and guest wellbeing

Stocking of PHP homes with supplies

Oversee recovery houses, including assisting guests with attaining needed resources and skills to establish healthy routines for lifelong recovery

Lead house meetings and 12-step groups within recovery houses, as-needed

Enforce Freeman Recovery Center policies and procedures and report to the manager immediately with any issues in recovery housing

Monitor recovery housing guest behavior and approve individual privileges, such as day passes and visitors

Drug screenings of recovery housingpatients as needed for drug/alcohol use

Provide transportation to and from approved sites (PHP/IOP, AA/NA meetings, grocery)

Ensuring patients get to their destinations safely and on time

Safety checks on vehicle(s) as needed

Always operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner

Never operate a motor vehicle while operating any cellular device

Assist with rent collection for recovery housing guests, as needed

Uphold HIPAA, 42CFR Part 2 in regard to patient/guest confidentiality at all times

Education and Experience required/degree, and/or certification required (if applicable):

Knowledge in Mental and Behavioral Health/Substance Abuse Field.

GED or high school diploma preferred

May be required to be CPR certified and/or maintain CPR certification.
