Job summary

Qualifications

• DMH-approved Therapeutic Mentor training within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to youth by building trusting relationships.
• Supports, coaches and trains youth in age-appropriate behaviors and problem-solving.
• Participates in treatment team meetings to discuss ideas, difficulties and expectations.
• Promotes recovery-oriented skills to help achieve goals in the treatment plan.
• Connects youth to community supports and additional programs.
• Acts as a resource and safe person for youth with questions or concerns.
