Job summary

Diamond House Detox & Recovery is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Counselor to provide direct counseling, recovery support, and treatment-related services to individuals in substance use disorder treatment. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address physical, emotional, behavioral, and social needs, supporting clients in achieving and maintaining recovery.

Qualifications

• The SUD Counselor provides direct counseling, recovery support, client supervision, and treatment-related services to individuals in substance use disorder treatment.
• A compassionate, professional, and non-judgmental approach supports clients in achieving and maintaining recovery.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to address physical, emotional, behavioral, and social needs of each client.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate SUD counseling groups to support recovery, relapse prevention, coping skills, emotional regulation, accountability, and engagement.
• Provide individual counseling or recovery support sessions within credentialing scope.
• Conduct or assist with Substance Use Assessments and other client screenings as assigned.
• Develop, implement, review, and update individualized treatment plans according to level and program requirements.
• Participate in case conferences, treatment planning meetings, shift handoffs, and multidisciplinary communication.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of client interactions, group services, and progress.
