Chestnut Health Systems is seeking an Employment Specialist to join our team. The role supports consumers in pursuing employment and recovery, delivering case management mental health services and promoting the recovery model of treatment.

Starting pay ranges between $17.00 - $20.00 per hour, with additional factors considered for base pay. The organization emphasizes trauma-informed care and community-based support in Illinois and Missouri.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or higher and interest in social services.
• Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, education, psychology, or related human service field.
• Bachelor's degree in any other field with two years of supervised clinical experience in mental health.
• Certificate of psychiatric rehabilitation from a DHS-approved program plus a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in mental health services.
• CRSS certification in good standing with Illinois.

Responsabilités

• Complete required data entry and paperwork following program and agency policies.
• Provide consumer-driven services meeting program requirements and maintain an assigned level of consumer services.
• Promote the recovery model of treatment including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness, and spirituality/connectedness.
• Provide referral, linkage, and advocacy to community resources including Department of Rehabilitation Services and vocational resources.
• Foster positive interactions with Chestnut and the community to develop employment opportunities for consumers.
• Attend meetings and consumer staffings, providing support to team members as needed.
• Recommend permanent job placements based on consumer strengths, preferences, and needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of fidelity requirements for IPS, including face-to-face employer contacts and retention plans.
• Promote Chestnut's culture of customer service excellence.
• Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Carry out duties related to education and experience requirements as described.
