Job summary

Stars Behavioral Health Group is seeking a Recovery Counselor in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves direct care to address physical and psychosocial client needs within a 16-bed residential setting, with on-call shifts and 24/7 intensive treatment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and CA driver’s license; on-the-job training or 1 year of relevant experience is required. A comprehensive benefits package and paid CEU opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, etc.).
• One year of relevant experience or 20 hours of regulated on-the-job training within the first year of employment.
• Valid California Driver's License (required); Class B license preferred.
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification required within 90 days of hire.
• First Aid certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of clients.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed and facilities are clean and safe.
• Assist with client laundry, housekeeping tasks, and related duties.
• May drive clients in company vehicle and screen incoming individuals for safety/contraband.
