Job summary

Catholic Charities of Spokane Inc. seeks a Peer Support Specialist to assist households at Catalyst emergency housing, helping residents recover and achieve self-sufficiency. You will provide support, education, and resource navigation for formerly homeless clients with complex needs.

The role requires empathy, reliability, and the ability to work within a team, while following HIPAA and program guidelines in a faith-based community services setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of successful work experience preferred.
• Lived experience that helps relate to clients and program goals.
• Valid driver's license and background check required.
• DBHR Peer Training certification within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support services to Catalyst residents following SAMHSA guidelines.
• Teach clients to navigate community services and programs.
• Manage a caseload and help clients find solutions.
• Offer consistency, encouragement, and accountability.
• Collaborate with Integrated Case Management for health needs.
• Maintain professional boundaries and participate in training.
