Job summary

Silver-Maple-Recovery-of-Massillo is seeking an Addiction Recovery Tech to support clients in an addiction withdrawal management program. The role focuses on safety, supervision, and collaboration with clinical staff to meet client needs on a daily basis.

Responsibilities include monitoring clients, coordinating activities, and responding to emergencies while upholding OSHA safety standards and proper biohazard disposal.

• Interacts with a client population that is actively intoxicated and/or experiencing withdrawal.
• Provides guidance, safety, stability and direction to these clients.
• Identifies emergency signals and reacts appropriately.
• Provides clients with their daily schedules.
• Ensures each Residential client is accounted for during checks on the shift.
• Implements pro-social group activities for residents.
• Crisis Intervention as needed.
• Monitors the facility to ensure it is neat and orderly and doors remain secured.
• Practices OSHA safety standards and disposes of biohazard waste according to OSHA standards.
• May assist in transporting admitted clients to hospitals or aftercare as directed by clinical staff or program director.
• Responds promptly to client needs and requests; maintains timely communication via phone, email, etc.
• Participates in supervision by coming prepared and reporting high-risk cases.
• Maintains safe environments for all residents.

OverviewProvides milieu management and ensures safety of individuals or groups in an addiction withdrawal management program. The Addiction Recovery Tech is responsible for supporting and monitoring clients while in the program and ensuring the physical environment is safe and clean. He/she will maintain close communication with clinical staff, nursing staff, and administration to ensure the client needs are being met.ResponsibilitiesInteracts with a client population that is actively intoxicated and/or experiencing symptoms of withdrawal.
