Job Purpose:- The Recovery Clerk at GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF DALLAS INC plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's mission of providing job training and employment opportunities to individuals facing barriers to employment. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring the efficient recovery of donated goods, maintaining the quality and organization of inventory, and contributing to the overall success of the charitable operations.Key Responsibilities:- Manage the recovery process of donated goods, ensuring items are sorted, processed, and prepared for sale in a timely manner.- Maintain an organized and clean work environment, including the sorting area and storage facilities, to ensure safety and efficiency.- Collaborate with team members to optimize recovery operations and improve processes for better inventory management.- Assist in tracking inventory levels and reporting discrepancies to ensure accurate stock management.- Provide excellent customer service to donors and customers, addressing inquiries and facilitating smooth donation transactions.- Support the organization's goals by actively participating in team meetings and contributing ideas for process improvements.- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations and mission of GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF DALLAS INC.Required Education:- High school diploma or equivalent.Required Experience:- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred.- Experience working in a not-for-profit or charitable organization is advantageous.Required Skills and Abilities:- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and customers.- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required.- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management systems.- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling and processing goods.- Physical ability to lift and move items as needed, adhering to safety guidelines.- Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of Goodwill Industries.
