Job summary

Pioneer Point Recovery in Oklahoma is seeking compassionate Recovery Care Advocates (RCAs) for our residential program near Lake Tenkiller. RCAs work closely with clients, providing supervision, support, structure and encouragement as they pursue lasting recovery.

You will collaborate with clinical and nursing teams, monitor safety and behavior, support participation in treatment, document observations, and help with crisis de-escalation.

Recovery Care Advocate (RCA)

Pioneer Point Recovery is seeking compassionate, dependable, and recovery-minded individuals to join our team as Recovery Care Advocates (RCAs) at our residential addiction treatment program near Lake Tenkiller, Oklahoma.

Recovery Care Advocates are an essential part of the day-to-day client experience at Pioneer Point. Similar to a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), RCAs work directly with clients throughout the residential treatment environment, providing supervision, support, structure, accountability, and encouragement as men work toward lasting recovery.

This is a highly relational role. RCAs spend more time alongside our clients than almost anyone else on the treatment team. From morning routines and meals to groups, recreation, evening activities, and the everyday moments in between, RCAs help create a safe, structured, and recovery-oriented environment where meaningful change can happen.

Working closely with our clinical and nursing teams, RCAs monitor client safety and behavior, support participation in treatment programming, reinforce program expectations and healthy boundaries, document relevant observations, assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed, and help clients navigate the challenges that naturally arise during residential treatment. These responsibilities are consistent with the RCA duties outlined in the position description.

We’re looking for people who can build genuine rapport while maintaining strong professional boundaries—people who can be supportive without enabling, hold clients accountable without losing compassion, and remain calm and dependable when situations become difficult.

Previous experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, residential treatment, healthcare, corrections, security, or a related field is preferred, but we also value candidates with strong interpersonal skills, emotional maturity, good judgment, and a genuine desire to help others. Experience working with substance use disorders, mental health conditions, or co-occurring disorders is preferred.
