Black Women's Mental Health Institute in Massachusetts seeks a Recovery Aide to bridge staff, patients, and families and support recovery from mental health and substance use disorders. You will monitor high-risk patients, run groups, document activities, and liaise with the treatment team.

The Recovery Aide serves as a key liaison among staff, patients, and families to support recovery from mental health and substance use disorders.
Monitor high-risk patients, facilitate specialty groups, document activities, and communicate with the treatment team. Assist with recovery-oriented socialization, support counseling efforts, and ensure adherence to organizational policies. Document observations and participate in program evaluation.
High School Diploma or GED required; experience or training in addiction or mental health preferred. Must have 1-3 years of customer service experience, comfortable in high-stress environments, and capable of speaking to groups.
Computer literacy, understanding of safety and facility upkeep, and current CPR certification or certifiable. Preferred valid MA driver’s license and group facilitation experience.
Ability to relate effectively with patients, work flexible shifts including weekends, and uphold organizational values.
