Iron Mountain is seeking a hands-on Shipping/Receiving Clerk (Project Specialist) to join our Records Project team in Chicago. You will move, label, and track government records, ensuring strict security and accuracy as part of a dedicated team.

The role is a temporary assignment with potential to transition to a regular position based on business needs and performance. You’ll be part of a global company that values your contributions and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in a physical role, preferably in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling environment.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to accurately match long numbers and letters on labels and lists.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs continuously during an 8-hour shift; comfortable with heights using platforms or lifts.
• US citizenship required due to federal security rules.
• Willing and able to undergo fingerprinting and pass a federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Move and stage record boxes weighing up to 50 lbs, including lifting to elevated heights up to 15 feet.
• Label and track boxes with barcode and RFID labels in exact locations for electronic tracking.
• Pack and secure pallets, arrange boxes on pallets, protect corners, and wrap securely for shipping.
• Check inventory by comparing box numbers against pull lists to ensure accuracy before moving.
• Use material handling gear like hand trucks, wheeled carts, and pallet jacks to move boxes in the warehouse.
