Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a hands-on Shipping/Receiving Clerk (Project Specialist) to join our Records Project team in Chicago. You will move and protect important historical records, ensuring each box is tracked, labeled, and shipped according to security guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in a physical role, preferably in a warehouse/shipping/receiving or material handling environment.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to match long numbers/letters on labels and lists.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 lbs during an 8-hour shift; comfortable at heights using platforms or lifts.
• US citizenship required due to federal security rules.
• Willing and able to undergo fingerprinting and pass a federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Move and stage record boxes weighing up to 50 lbs, including elevated platforms up to 15 ft.
• Label and track boxes with barcode and RFID labels in exact locations.
• Pack and secure pallets, wrap them for safe shipping.
• Check inventory against pull lists to ensure accuracy before moving.
• Use material handling gear such as hand trucks, carts, and pallet jacks.
