Pamunkey Regional Jail is seeking a Records Clerk to safeguard inmate records and support courtroom and administrative functions. The role involves maintaining confidential files, processing requests, and coordinating with courts and agencies.

The Records Clerk reports to the Records Supervisor and supervises no staff.
Requires a general level of clerical skills. Knowledge of standard office procedures and equipment, and computer literacy. Communication skills, oral, written, and verbal, are required. Basic knowledge of records maintenance and the ability to provide accurate responses to requests for information. Must be able to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines with minimal supervision. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with County officials, employees, and the public is required.
Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age; High school graduate or equivalent required. Experience working with confidential files is preferred. Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training sufficient to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acceptable.
