Job Description

The Douglas County Court in Omaha, NE is taking applications for full-time Records Clerk/Cashier positions in our Criminal Traffic Division. This is an entry-level clerical position. Records Clerks assist people attending court by directing them to appropriate windows for completing their actions. Some court attendance may be required. Data entry and attention to detail are essential. Responsibilities include clerical functions in various divisions, responding to inquiries, verifying files, preparing and processing motions, maintaining records, and handling payments. Previous cash handling experience is preferred.
Job Duties
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of customer service, computer applications, criminal coding, laws, data entry, and office procedures is necessary. Skills include customer service, record maintenance, data entry, operating office equipment, and communication skills. Physical effort is minimal, not exceeding 20 lbs.
