Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro School of Music seeks an outstanding Recording Technician and Hall Manager. The Recording Technician serves as the Audio Engineer & Livestreaming Technician and Performance Hall Manager for the School of Music.

This position is a key member of our technical staff and requires high level training in a specialized skill working with high-end recording and audio equipment.

Qualifications

• Audio recording experience is required.
• Two or more years of pro audio/AV experience preferred.
• Independence and ability to work without direct supervision is valued.

Responsibilities

• Serve as chief recording engineer and livestreaming technician for academic and outreach programs.
• Schedule and oversee all performance spaces for the School of Music
• Recruit, train, and supervise student recording and livestreaming crews for School of Music events both on and off campus.
• Maintain and procure audio recording and livestreaming resources for the School of Music performance spaces.
• Archive School of Music recordings.
• Collaborate on projects with faculty, students, and community partners
