Job summary

Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. seeks an experienced Record to Report Architect to lead the end-to-end Finance architecture during the SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformation.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of SAP Finance experience with deep expertise in FI, CO, Asset Accounting, CO-PA, and Group Reporting.
• Demonstrated experience leading or supporting an SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation.
• Strong knowledge of S/4HANA Finance architecture, including Universal Journal (ACDOCA), organizational structures, chart of accounts, cost centers, profit centers, and financial master data.
• Experience designing end-to-end Finance solutions across GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, financial close, consolidation, and related Finance processes.
• Experience with Finance controls, compliance, accounting standards, audit, tax, SOX, and segregation of duties.
• Knowledge and experience with SAP Signavio is required.
• Knowledge and experience with SAP Cloud ALM is required.
• Experience with S/4HANA Embedded Analytics, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Finance data migration, reconciliation, and cutover activities.

The team

The Finance Transformation team is driving a strategic modernization of the organization’s Finance landscape, transitioning from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA. The team partners closely with Finance leadership, the CFO organization, technology teams, and key business stakeholders to design a scalable, integrated, and future-ready Finance operating model. This collaborative group is responsible for transforming core financial processes, strengthening controls and governance, modernizing reporting and analytics, and establishing enterprise standards that enable greater efficiency, transparency, and business insight across the Finance organization.

The role

As the Record to Report Architect – Finance Solution Architect, you will lead the end-to-end Finance architecture for the transformation from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA. You will define the future-state Finance operating model and provide architectural leadership across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, Revenue Recognition, Planning, Treasury, Cash Management, and Working Capital. You will design and govern the S/4HANA Finance data model, including Universal Journal (ACDOCA), organizational structures, chart of accounts, profit and cost centers, and financial master data standards. You will also lead architecture for financial close, consolidation, Group Reporting, Finance analytics, data migration, reconciliation, and cutover activities. Working closely with Finance executives and technology leaders, you will serve as a strategic advisor, establish architectural standards, and help ensure the Finance solution is integrated, compliant scalable, and aligned with the organization’s broader transformation strategy.

What you’ll bring

• Strong executive stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to advise Finance leadership and communicate complex solution decisions in business terms.
• Previous Finance Solution Architect experience is strongly preferred; SAP S/4HANA Finance certification is preferred.

Additional requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Candidate must reside in Ohio or be willing to travel to Ohio Monday through Thursday each week.
• Ability to maintain the required weekly travel schedule throughout the duration of the role.
