Job summary

Pacific Central Coast Health Center’s Expert Reconstructive Hand Surgeon (plastics) role, within Dignity Health’s Surgery Center – Santa Maria, drives reconstructive hand care and regional program expansion on the Central Coast.

You will perform direct patient consultations, manage acute hand trauma, and execute microvascular and nerve reconstructions while collaborating on call coverage and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery completed.
• Fellowship training in microsurgery completed.
• Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
• Active or eligible license in the state of California.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient consultations for hand surgery.
• Manage acute hand trauma cases.
• Perform microvascular reconstructions and nerve repairs.
• Participate in collaborative call coverage and quality improvement initiatives.
