Responsibilities

• Reconcile ACH, Inclearing, Fed, debit cards, ATM deposits to GL using core system.
• Perform daily GL reconciliation and settlement with accounting/vendor for ATM functions.
• Communicate with branches on settlement issues; review non-posted items for clearing.
• Research variances from mis-posts; pursue process improvement and automation.
• Managers assign Recon Specialist tasks on new projects.
• Balance Fiserv ATM cash withdrawals, deposits and image checks; ensure REG E compliance.
• Handle branch inquiries; ensure Centrix claims meet SLAs for account research and resolution of on-us items.
• Assist with updating procedures to reflect changes.
• Work with branches to train member-contact staff on ATMs; support processing functions.
• Keep regulatory knowledge current; collaborate with branches, vendors, shared services, compliance.
• Assist testing of new ATM products and functions.

What You’ll Do

The Recon Specialist is responsible for performing various activities in Recon Department. The position is required to perform reconciliation settlements derived from files from Core or third-party systems, various general ledger accounts and month end closings.

Core Contributions

• Reconcile activities from ACH, Inclearing files, Federal Reserve Bank, debit cards, ATM deposit reconciliation, Shared Services and several other operational Recs to the general ledger accounts using the core system. Perform daily general ledger reconciliation and transaction settlement activities in coordination with Accounting/external vendor related to ATM functions.
• Communicate with branches and partners on settlement issues and processing. Review all non‑posted items and research for clearing.
• Research and locate variances derived from mis‑post to various ledgers until resolution. Look for process improvement and automation with any and all of the current processes. Managers will assign Recon Specialist work on new projects as needed.
• Balance Fiserv ATMs cash withdrawal. cash deposits and image checks after approval in Ensenta. Ensure that ATM claims comply with REG E guidelines. Handle branch/frontline inquiries, ensure Centrix claims meet SLAs for account research and resolution of claims or issues‑on‑us items. Assist with procedures to ensure effective processes are in place and updated as changes occur.
• Work with branches to develop and deliver comprehensive training to member contact employees regarding ATMs. Provide support to employees on all processing functions. Ensure that working knowledge and key personnel is kept current in changing regulatory. Collaborates closely with Branches, Vendors, Shared Services, Compliance, to ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of information. Assist with testing of new ATM products and functions.

Assets You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 1-4 years of experience.
• Financial background specializing in ATM operations, accounting functions related to balancing, settlement and general ledger reconciliation
• Knowledge of dispute resolution rules and regulations.
• Computer Skills: PC, Windows, Internet proficient and MS Excel, Access, and Word skills.

The estimated salary for this role is $26.35 - $30.96 per hour.
