Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services LLC is seeking a Recip Technician to operate, monitor, and maintain gas reciprocating engine power generation packages in field settings. This role entails performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The position follows a 28-days-on / 28-days-off schedule with extended shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in power generation or related equipment.
• Ability to read basic electrical, control, and mechanical schematics.
• Familiarity with SOPs and maintenance documentation.
• Comfortable interacting with customers and working with moderate supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain gas engine power packages and related systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on generators.
• Monitor panels, gauges, alarms, and instrumentation.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and sensor issues using SOPs and tools.
• Verify equipment readiness after shutdown or trip events.
• Conduct walk-around inspections and housekeeping in operations areas.
• Assist installation and basic startup of power generation assets.
• Keep accurate logs and service reports in CMMS.
• Follow HSE policies and wear PPE.
• Work in teams under time-sensitive, sometimes emergency conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
