Job Description

Mount St. Michael Catholic School (MSMCS) is a private Catholic Classical School within the Diocese of Dallas, accredited by TCCB ED. MSMCS has a Montessori program for 3k-5k and then transitions into a Classical school for 1st-8th grades. It is located in southwest Dallas. The mission is to form children in courageous virtue grounded in the truth of Christ: to reason clearly, to choose morally, and to serve faithfully. MSMCS is currently seeking applicants to supervise recess and assist with the Extended Day Program

Candidates should possess a joy for working with young students, have a warm and welcoming attitude, and work well with others. The candidate must be able to receive instruction and follow through on tasks, and be willing to participate in various training courses, including discipline and classroom management strategies. The position is hired and evaluated by the principal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Position

• Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
• Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
• Supports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school and Diocese
• Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters
• Communicates effectively with students, parents, and other professionals
• Supervises students at lunch, recess, Extended Day and in routine movement
• Meets staff development guidelines as set forth by the Diocese/local administration
• Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits
• Maintains a work schedule that maximizes availability to the school, students and staff
• Maintains current and accurate records according to school policy
• Collaborates with peers to enhance the work environment and support instructional planning
• Demonstrates a willingness to respond to individual learning needs
• Ability to work well with students, parents, and colleagues in an instructional setting
• Ability to follow directions and handle multiple tasks
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements
