Job summary

SCA Health, part of Optum, is seeking a Front Desk/Medical Clerk to join our facility team. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance information, and manage payments and deposits to support efficient operations.

In this role, you will collaborate with both office and clinical staff, maintain accurate records, and ensure a welcoming, organized lobby environment for patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual preferred
• Two years previous medical clerical experience
• Basic knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with medical software
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors within the facility.
• Answer incoming calls to the facility.
• Register patients and verify identity, demographics, financial and insurance information.
• Communicate with other business office and clinical departments.
• Open mail and distribute materials.
• Accept and record patient cost share payments.
• Prepare and reconcile daily deposits.
• Maintain clean and tidy lobby area.
• Verify vendor and visitor sign in.
• Prepare patient charts.
