Summary/Objective

In line with our goal of improving residents' lives, the Receptionist provides superior customer service as the first point of contact for visitors. Responsibilities include answering calls, directing them appropriately, mail distribution, and supporting various departments with clerical tasks.

Essential Functions

• Operate multiline phone and paging systems.
• Answer and route incoming calls.
• Locate personnel via overhead paging.
• Greet and direct visitors, ensuring sign-in and visitor restrictions are followed.
• Report suspicious behavior.
• Handle inquiries about job openings and distribute applications.
• Manage incoming mail and coordinate express mail services.
• Report resident and facility concerns to appropriate staff.
• Maintain lists of residents, staff extensions, and key personnel.
• Handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Keep the lobby and workstation organized and hazard-free.
• Report hazards, equipment issues, and supply shortages.
• Interact effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Participate in departmental meetings and trainings.
• Respond to special requests from residents and families.
