The Salvation Army USA Southern Territory in Nashville, TN seeks a part-time Receptionist to greet visitors, answer calls, route inquiries, and perform routine clerical tasks. The role requires professionalism, accuracy, and a courteous demeanor.
You will manage messages, sign in guests, assist with donations receipts, and maintain a master meeting schedule. Weekend shifts Sat-Sun 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM support the organization's mission.
The Receptionist answers the telephone in a courteous manner and directs calls to the appropriate destination; records accurate and complete messages when necessary; receives and receipts deliveries and donations; greets and announces visitors and clients; provides general information about The Salvation Army’s operations and services; performs routine clerical work such as typing and filing. This is a Part-Time position, the receptionist will work Sat-Sun from 8 AM-4:30 PM, dedicated to the position that meets our clients needs.
High School diploma or GED required and two years of progressively responsible experience working in a major form with telephone switchboard responsibilities,

Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, communicate and write the English language.
Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/ or push/pull light (less than 25lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment.

Duties are performed mostly seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
