The Delaware Department of Justice is hiring a Receptionist for its Fraud & Consumer Protection Division. Introduction

Each of the more than 500 staff who work in the Office of the Attorney General are dedicated to serving all Delawareans with integrity and passion. Deputy Attorneys General, with critical support from criminal special investigators, victim service specialists, paraprofessionals, and administrative staff, prosecute criminal cases, enforce consumer laws, provide counsel to state agencies, ensure the public's access to open government, protect the abused, and much more.
Summary Statement
The Delaware Department of Justice is seeking a professional and customer-focused individual to serve as the Receptionist for its Fraud & Consumer Protection Division, specifically within the Consumer Mediation Unit, located in the Brandywine Building at 1000 N. West Street, Wilmington, DE 19801. The standard work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The primary duties include answering and transferring a high volume of telephone calls. The Receptionist may also professionally greet guests, process mail, scan documents, and accurately enter consumer data in the case management system. This position answers multiple busy telephone lines, takes accurate messages, and forwards calls to the appropriate staff. The role also involves responding to general inquiries about the Department of Justice and the specific division or unit. Additional clerical tasks such as typing, filing, copying, and outreach preparation may be required. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Office Suite, strong communication skills, and professional reception practices are essential.
