Job summary

Homewood Living Plum Creek in Hanover, PA is seeking a part-time Front Desk Associate for the evening shift. This role handles all resident calls and serves as an information center for residents, staff, and guests.

Essential duties include greeting callers, directing inquiries, processing mail and payments, and producing routine documents. Strong English skills, a 40 wpm keyboard pace, and empathy for seniors are required. The position offers benefits and a friendly team environment.

  • Keyboard speed of 40 wpm; ability to use computer and word processing software; knowledge of office style manual.

Responsibilities

  • Receives callers, determines nature of business and directs callers to the appropriate destination.
  • Provides information or directs inquiries to the appropriate person in a professional and polite manner.
  • Separates and sorts mail.
  • Issuing receipts for payments and contributions and preparing a daily reconciliation sheet.
  • Types memos, correspondences, reports and other documents as requested by department heads.
  • Keeps inventory of office supplies.
  • Enters information on the computer concisely, accurately and completely as directed by the supervisor.
  • Performs other functions as directed by the supervisor.

Salary: 15.85 - 16.45 Hourly

This is a part time position. Shifts may be day or evening and also works every other weekend day shift.

Job Summary:

A very visible and public relation position in handling all telephone calls and acts as an information center for all residents, co-workers, and guests.

  • Complies with established Corporate and Departmental policies and procedures, and maintains established standards and practices.

Physical Requirements:

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work requires extensive work using a computer. This position has physical and mental aspects of sedentary work in which lifting requirements are minimal. Occasionally required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or operate computers, objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
