Job Summary

Gardnerville Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable and welcoming Receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis. The Receptionist serves as a key point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and staff while providing clerical and administrative support to the facility.

Schedule: 20 hours per week, Monday–Thursday
Pay: $15.00–$16.00 per hour

Essential Functions

• Welcome and assist residents, families, visitors, guests, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner.
• Answer and direct incoming telephone calls and operate the overhead paging system as needed.
• Provide directions and general information to visitors, residents, families, and representatives.
• Maintain current listings of residents by name and room number, emergency contact information, department extensions, and key personnel.
• Follow the established reception schedule and facility procedures.
• Operate the copier, telephone, computer, and other office equipment as directed.
• Receive, sort, distribute, and route incoming mail to residents, departments, and personnel.
• Prepare outgoing mail for scheduled pickup.
• Order office and reception supplies as directed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
• Protect resident and facility confidentiality at all times.
• Perform other clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous receptionist, customer service, administrative, or healthcare experience preferred.
• Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional, friendly, and dependable demeanor.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, visitors, staff, and the general public.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies or unexpected situations.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently when needed.
