Brinton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Receptionist to serve as the welcoming first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, staff, and healthcare professionals.
The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and comfortable working in a busy healthcare environment while maintaining confidentiality and providing excellent customer service.
The Receptionist is responsible for managing the front desk, greeting and assisting visitors, answering and directing telephone calls, supporting administrative functions, and helping maintain a professional and welcoming environment throughout the facility.
Greet residents, families, visitors, vendors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls appropriately.
Provide accurate information and assistance to residents and visitors.
Monitor and manage the front entrance and visitor sign-in process.
Maintain visitor logs and follow facility security and visitation procedures.
Notify appropriate staff when residents have visitors or when assistance is needed.
Receive and distribute mail, packages, and other deliveries.
Assist with basic administrative and clerical duties.
Maintain accurate records and documentation as assigned.
Schedule or assist with appointments, meetings, and transportation arrangements when needed.
Maintain confidentiality of resident, employee, and facility information.
Communicate professionally with residents, families, healthcare providers, and staff.
Respond appropriately to resident and family concerns and direct issues to the appropriate department.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
Follow all facility policies, procedures, HIPAA requirements, and safety regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous receptionist, front desk, customer service, healthcare, or long-term care experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional, friendly, and compassionate demeanor.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer and office equipment skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
Must be able to work effectively with residents, families, visitors, and a multidisciplinary team.
