Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group in Chicago is seeking a Medical Receptionist to warmly greet patients, answer multi-line phones, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and collect copays. You will support physicians and front-desk staff to maintain a smooth patient flow in a fast-paced dermatology setting.

Open availability for full-time, with shifts across the week. Previous knowledge of medical terminology is a plus; we value strong customer service and attention to detail to ensure exceptional

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Prior experience with medical terminology is a plus.
• Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians.
• Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Answering multi-line phones
• Greeting patients and vendors
• Signing patients in and out, obtaining insurance information and any other necessary data
• Scheduling appointments on the phone and at checkout desks
• Collecting outstanding balances and copays
• Providing patients with support and guidance as needed
• Maintaining safe, secure and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures.

Mon: 7:30 am - 5pm
Tues 7am- 7pm
Wed 7:30 am -5pm
Thu: 7am - 7pm
Fri: 7:30 am - 7pm

Summary

Medical Receptionists directly interact with patients collecting and providing information concerning the patients’ medical care. Receptionists also work closely with other staff to ensure effective communication.
