Orthopedic Physicians Alaska in Eagle River is seeking a Reception Specialist for a full-time role. You will greet patients, answer calls, schedule appointments, and support precertification tasks.

You will perform insurance verification, educate patients on coverage, collect deposits and co-pays, and collaborate with billing and other departments. This fast-paced position requires strong customer service, organization, and attention to detail.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of customer service experience.
• Associate’s degree preferred; medical office experience is a plus.

Salary Range: $18.50-$28.00 hourly

Schedule:

Tue-Fri 10:00AM-6:30PM, Sat 7:30AM-4:30PM

Your Role At OPA

As a Reception Specialist at OPA you will greatly contribute to the team by ensuring patient needs are being met by providing outstanding customer service. As part of this role you will answer patient calls, schedule patient appointments, and complete some precertification and verification tasks.

What You’ll Do

• Provide outstanding customer service to all patients
• Perform insurance verification and prior authorizations
• Educate patients on insurance coverage limits and options
• Work closely with the billing and other departments providing services
• Schedule appointments, answer phones, data entry
• Collect deposits and co-pays
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Qualifications
